Easter Eggers??

Sorry to appear stupid, but could someone tell me what an Easter Egger chicken is? I keep reading about them, but have no idea what they are.

It's a mutt version of the araucana/ameraucana that still lays colored eggs. They are beautiful. Look on my personal page....the first 3 you see are EE's.
