One of my serama pullets hatched an egg this morning. Happy Easter! The problem is, I’ve never had a broody raise her own chicks outdoors as I didn’t build for this 7 years ago. It’s getting down to 29F tonight and I don’t know whether I should bring her in tonight. We have the next 5 days with temps below 40. Should I bring her in for 5 days or permanently. The general wisdom is that seramas don’t tolerate temperatures below 40 and that chick is teeny tiny.

With serama eggs that had a different fate.
Happy Easter

Adorable! Congrats and Happy Easter. I had some Easter babies hatch today too. I have a question for you. What have the temps been during the last 3 weeks your hen has been broody and sitting on eggs? Is she still sitting and how many more eggs?
