Howdy,

So i need to add some more nesting boxes. Looking for some easy ideas as I don't want to spend much time or money on them.

Thank you

Cardboard boxes work, at least temporarily.

Just choose one around the right size, lay it on its side, and add something heavy inside to keep the chickens from tipping it over when they stand on top. A big rock inside one corner often works well.

Anything that will hold an egg. Buckets, dollar store wash bins, milk crates, old dresser drawers, tires cut in half... the list is endless. I've got two old cupboards with a board nailed at shelf level to keep the eggs and nesting materials from getting kicked out. Really just depends on how fancy you want to be.nest boxes are a recyclers dream. The only suggestion I've really got is make sure its something you can wipe out without too much hassle in case of broken eggs.

I'll add kitchen sink and commode to this list. Some people have a sick sense of humor.

If these links work check them out to see some of the things that we've used. You'll see that the list is indeed endless.

Welp, i decided to just build a big one onto their coop. I'll probably put some dividers in when I get an idea how to do that
