Easy Run Plans

I found these run plans, looks easy enough even for me! I'll make them larger so the run will be 6'X12" instead of 4'X12'. What do you all think?

I like those, although avoid chicken wire and make it walk-in.
If you want your run to not be run down to bare dirt, I'd advise around 50-100 square feet of space per bird.

I plan on hardware cloth to cover with an apron around the bottom. I do not have room for 50 or even 100 SQF run per bird but they will have access to yard for free range when I'm home. I'm only planning on 5 chickens per city ordinance so I think this will be enough for them. My coop is also going to be pretty large so they should all be happy...)

Sounds just about perfect.

You might look into "cage wire" (1" x 2") it's a bit easier to work than hardware cloth (1/2" x 1/2") and less expensive.

Just one note- if weasels are in your area they can slip through 1" holes. They'll decimate an entire flock in minutes.

Just a note weasels hunt at night... so hardware cloth on the coop.

Weasels will hunt at any time of the day in the right area better precautionary than sorry.
