I'm new at this, and no pro, so maybe this idea isn't as new & inventive as I thought, but here goes anyway

I have horses at the farm with the chickies, and save my feed sacks from the horses as it always seems like such a waste to toss them. Brilliant me

came up with the idea of lying the sacks flat out in rows under the roosts and each morning, just roll up the sacks (and poo in the process) and remove. Ta-Da! - bedding is conserved and the mess is literally cleaned up daily in seconds. Anyone who has horses (or other livestock that get feed) knows you ALWAYS have an endless supply of feed sacks.

I love it!

when ever I empty horse feed into the bucket I did the same thing...........hated to throw these sacks out......... I have used them in picking up trash in yard , bar ditch etc , NEVER thought of your idea........great....will use it under rabbit hutch too....and throw into my garden.......... I love recycling !

Good idea. Just yesterday I used one of my feed sacks to line a rabbit hutch that I decided to use as a brooder, to keep the shavings from falling out. When I was raising snakes, I used them as cage liners there, too. I've got a large pile of the sacks built up- hated to throw them out. Now I have a really good use for them under the perches! Thanks.
