I have 2 ducks and some eggs in the bator and I am building a new house for them. The trouble I the planks are not completely uniform so the are quite a lot of long gaps between them. I was thinking expandable foam but would they eat it? Any other ideas?

Thanks

Ok,do you have any suggestions on how to fill the gaps?

Ducks are quite sturdy and usually do not need more than basic shelter. If you think the gaps are too large, you can cover them inside with inexpensive thin plywood or on the outside with spare scrap wood, although that may not look as nice.

I think of small gaps as added ventilation

you could cover the outside with a tarp on the extra cold nights or do plywood over as was already suggested.

But they aren't small gaps! Up to 1/2" in places
