I toying with the idea of getting a rooster. I have 8 hens and my family enjoys their company and we eat their eggs. I would only keep the rooster for the color and the drama. I know a good portion if not all of the eggs would be fertile once the rooster comes of age. I was woundering about having fertile eggs and how they differ from non fertile eggs? Would I run the risk of cracking open a egg to eat and finding something I didn't want to find and get turned off from ever eating eggs again? Who out there eats fertile eggs? Thanks for any replies.
