Will it hurt ang of my birds to let them outside in there new run I have made for them ? They are 9 meat birds 5 weeks old and 14 layers and two turkeys that range from 2 weeks look to 6 weeks old. I give them some grass clippings already and they like them and I give some grit also and they gobble it up too.so I was Hoping to let them out but don't want them to eat so much that they have problems with there crop or something . I'm really new at this so thanks for the advice :)

You should be just fine to let them out into your run. Good to see they have access to grit already. They will love the grass. Clippings are somewhat troublesome to me. You see in the run or say on your lawn they will/can pull off little pieces of grass to eat, with clippings they can munch too much, too fast. It is better for them to forage and get their own than give them free access to clippings.

Anyway best to you and your birds,

RJ

You are more that welcome. Lawn clipping fed free choice seem to cause a fair amount of problems with the BYC'ers and their first flocks. There is a lot to pick up here on the forum. A lot of good information to be gleaned here if one will.

Best to you and your birds, oh, and welcome to BYC!

RJ
