Any suggestions on keeping our free range chickens from eating our foundation vent covers? Has anyone had this trouble? What did you do that worked?

I have never had this issue, but you could probably put a little chicken wire enclosure around the vent cover. Or you could use rabbit wire or hardware cloth. Place the wire around the vent cover, but far enough away from it that the chickens could not reach it if they stuck their beaks through. Good Luck!

I don't know why, but Styrofoam is like crack to chickens. You'll pretty much have to block off their access or they'll eat whatever they can get to.

Good thing is, it doesn't seem to hurt the birds to eat it. Bad thing is.....

. And they'll totally destroy the object in question.
