Eating Styrofoam!

I've been gone for the last 4 days and just got back today. I went to check the small banty coop and found a board of styrofoam insulation inside the door as a way to block the drafts put up by my DF. However...they little banties have obviously been snacking on it! I found shreds of plastic and a LOT of the styrofoam missing.

Are they going to be able to pass it ok?! Is there anything I can do to help them move the bits along?!

I've heard of lots of chickens eating styrofoam. My chickens have eaten some too. I wouldn't worry too much - But I hope that someone who can be of more help answers your question better
