Hello everyone. Yesterday I went out to check on my ladies, as I always do, and noticed an odd looking pile of droppings. It was filled with tiny, orange lumps in it. Everything else looked normal. After further investigation, I realized all five of my adult hens were leaving these strange-looking poops behind. After a while, I realized I had fed them a half-bag of baby carrots yesterday as a snack, since no one was eating them, and the chickens seemed to enjoy them. However, the strange poo has been consistent since yesterday morning, before I offered the carrots to them, and today my 4-week-old chicks have the same chunks, which is worrying. I did a bunch of research, and cant find anything that matches these strange orange chunks. Is it coccidiosis? An infection? Should I go see a vet or is there something I can do at home? I'm most worried about my 11-year-old hen, and my three 4-week-old chicks, since they are most vulnerable. I also noted that none of my chickens are acting strange, they are all eating fine, all the healthy weights, and all laid (Other than my chicks and oldest hen) eggs today and yesterday. No abnormalities were found on or inside the eggs as well.

INFO ABOUT FLOCK:
Ages: 3 month-old chicks, 2 1 1/2 year old hens, 2 hens almost 1 year old, one 11 year old hen.
Breeds: Three ameraucanas, One plymouth barred rock, two starlight green eggers, and two isa brown.

The first picture has some small white specks in it, but the picture is not in good focus. Could you take another? I wonder if those could be tapeworm segments? They would be moving in a fresh dropping. Sometimes they can have some blood or intestinal shed in the droppings with tapeworms. It would be good if the color was due to carrots though. Here is a good video below of tapeworm segments in poop. Let me know what you think and I can recommend a praziquantel wormer.

They aren't moving at all, so it doesn't seem to be tapeworms. I'm going to keep observing them though, and see if their behaviour changes within the next couple of days. Thank you!
