Its just her genetics, nothing to worry about, unless she layed blue prior...

That's simply the color she lays. They're like Sharpies. They lay a certain color and won't change to another one.

Now that is a first! Brown is supposedly brown coating over white and blue is separate from that. Are you sure she layed blue prior?

I think that it makes them better suited for warmer climates, but I read somewhere that they were developed to be easier for plucking.

Can you please post a picture of the egg? I've had several EEs lay these 'pink' eggs, that could be easily mistaken for a brown egg, but was actually pink. I'd like to see the egg, to see if that's what you got, if you don't mind.
