So I've been using BYC as an encyclopedia for many many things this last month, as all of us do. More recently, I've been looking into incubators. I was bummed out to see what the good ones were going for online, but theeennnnnn I got on Ebay for a look-see. Sure enough I found a Hova bator 1602n for $10!!! I just about flipped my lid cause all the other ones I found we're $60 and up NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING! And to boot, this guy was offering free shipping! So after several grueling hours of bidding.... I WON THE AUCTION! Settling at $56. Still not bad if I do say so! What do ya'll think? As far as I can tell, this model is fool-proof and dependable. Has anyone reading this ever used one? I feel like I did really well, I hope I did! haha!

I read toonnnns of reviews and did lots of homework on the different models, brands, and styles. I'm very excited about the one I got! And I was happy to see this morning that the seller has already shipped it out!!

I used a hovabator for many years and liked it much better over the Little Giant I had. I think it will be a great starter incubator!

Styrofoam can be difficult to keep clean though. My hovabator came with a great plastic tray for the bottom and that did wonders! I was able to bleach that and the wire platform between hatchings. I'm sure you could figure out something for the bottom if the incubator doesn't come with a tray.

Happy hatching!

yah make sure you clean it real well, but other than that, i guess you saved $4 lol. My hova bator works really well but i'd give it a week of testing before placing the eggs because it can be hard to get the right temp.
