My mother in law does and she swears by it. She lives at a high altitude in an old trailer house that has the worst insulation i've ever seen. Before the Eden Pure she would usually spends about $200-300 on propane every month with the wood stove. Now she only uses the propane for cooking and the water heater. That eden pure took over the propane heat completly and her house is always cozy.

I dont know how high it would have gotten if I had run it as a back up heat source to the wood stove on a daily basis though.

hey i have one of these! they are pretty awesome. idk what the temp is here right now in VA but its too **** cold for October here!! i dont want to turn on the oil heat yet, so the eden pure is running. our house is 900 sqft, set up like a square ( no long hallwaything) and it is on 4 inside temp 67, all rooms warm. it is crazy windy out and our front door is letting in a draft, SO prolly could be lower if not so windy out. We used this in our old house that had no heat and had 2 in gaps around the doors, the elec bill was no more than $150/mo and it was on close to full blast there.... coarse the Whole house there NEVER warmed up.

i have no idea how this compares to OIL tho. a friend of ours last year was paying $400/mo for oil for her 2bdrm. And using Other normal space heaters in the old house had our elec bill at $300. So comparativly, i think its good.

i just know, I'm Warm. lol.

WAY too expensive to run! It jumped our electric bill from around $120 to around $400 a month when we lived in an all electric home. And we were still freezing....and this was a small, new home.

We've got electric central heat, so I'm thinking that it really wouldn't help much.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

ok, i know this was a while ago, but i just remebered i wanted to post this. ... i got my elec bill were i had been running our eden pure Only during the day Keeping the temps inside at 65-68. outside temps were not that cold except at night, down in the fortys, so when i d wake up its=d only be 58-60 inside. our elec bill was $75 (590 kw). Exactly The Same as The month Before, were i had been running the dryer vs using the cloths line. lol tho my dryer broke completely right at the change of the billing cycle. hope that helps your descision

Ok, I've had one now for almost a month and they are worth it. I spend close to 450/month just on propane... The unit I have is a 1500 watt and is good for 1500 sq. feet. I'd rather spend an extra 100 per month electric to save 225 a month on propane. Figure by Christmas the unit will have paid for itself already.
