Pet Peeves

Chicken-Related Pet Peeve:
Broody hens who ignore your "No Hatching" rule and sneak in a nest long enough that you feel guilty tossing the developing eggs. So much for this year's "No Net Gain" plan ...
:hugs Maybe they'll all be cockerels and can go in the freezer for soup?

Nope - straight run sales or I'll set up the Bachelor Pad again. These are Nankin Bantams - just a couple of years off the Critically Endangered List. Even fattened up, they're too small to be worth eating - not much bigger than a Serama. Even if they weren't, I get too big a kick out of the rooster eye candy and frat-boy antics. I couldn't "off" them, even for a great bowl of soup!

Understood!

I've got one. The manufacturer of a certain brand of, er, bathroom tissue, is now marketing a version with lovely scalloped edges that tear cleanly, in a blue bag. We've purchased the red bag version since Noah was a pup and never had an issue with it. It always tore cleanly along straight-edge perforations. Until recently. Suddenly it seems there are NO perforations in the red-bag version and you have to rip at it like a gorilla tearing banana leaves. So of course everyone is going to want to switch to the blue bag. I just hate manipulative marketing techniques. If they think scalloped-edge perforations are superior, let them put them on all their products. :tongue

Also saw a video where somebody was like "this package says this is equal to 4 regular sized rolls. But I cannot find their original/ regular sized rolls anywhere?"
So somebody actually sent them a pack (...i think it was the company, actually) and it was indeed much smaller (less tp "squares")

Except people pointed out in comments that the original roll used to have more squares, and the company reduced it so they could advertise others as "4x as many squares!"

(Hopefully that made sense.)
