EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Awesome!!!! Love them. Nigerian/Nigerian cross?

Speaking of goat, er well sheep, fresh lamb loin chops, cast iron taters and hot rolls all going on the grill for dinner with a side salad (it's got hard boiled eggs on it so not off topic, LOL). Benefits of being a farmer. Cut whatever you need whenever you need to. LOL.

For those of you city folk, this how KC Strips are manufactured. I don't let our locker cut or freeze any filets, ribeye, or KC strips. Inevitably, they don't know what an 1.5" is. Ha! So I cut, vacuum seal, and freeze here at the house.

hello all!  sorry i was gone for a couple days, the internet was out. I'd love to catch up on the thread but i don't feel like reading 329 posts :)
:frow Hi. Heck three hundred is nothing. This spring we were doing 1200 a day. That was hard.
So what have you been doing?

Oh the same ol stuff, basketball, school, co-ops, art class...what about you?

Wanted to show kids dragons, they are certainly happy and getting healthier every day with fresh eats and baths and sunlight! The female is much lighter and so much fuller now!
I (my family) used to own (foster) a couple beardies! Their names were skittles, the female and Mr. K, the boy. Skittle actually laid some eggs and they hatched!! But since they weren't technically ours, they were my aunts who worked at a summer camp, we couldn't keep or see the babies very long....sniff sniff. Be carful though, if the males' "beard" turns black, he will sometimes try to bite you. It doesn't look like it will hurt but it kinda will, surprisingly enough...

Hey everyone! Is it just me, or is it a bit quieter here these days? (@lovechicks1293 , on the earlier versions of this thread, you could end up 300+ behind just getting up and going to the bathroom!!!!!!)

Bedtime with Tank is still a struggle. I reminded myself it's only day three. It seems that one of the three pullets is way low on everyone's pecking order - the other pullets and Tanks. Poor thing wanted to sleep outside so everyone would leave her alone. They finally settled down, but the GNH boys in the adjacent coop took exception to the ruckus and started crowing - fortunately they stopped. Next time I'll try adding the girls to the new digs first, then adding back Tank (as someone somewhere suggested). Not sure that would benefit much now, they've already begun adapting. I'll just need to be around for bed time for a while... I hope this doesn't last until Christmas - I don't think my chicken sitter could manage this.

Always learning (aka, always screwing something up...)
