Quote: Two-three seasons ago I had a button buck camped right in front of my blind, close as 5-6 feet, the whole season; just out of his spots when he first started coming in. I named him BB, for Baby Buck. Never saw one I could ID as him again; some idgit probably shot him...some "hunters" will shoot anything that moves.

I think that is sad. I try to be mindful of the population, besides I can't handle just killing. I am out if I go for meat. I also use single shot.Two-three seasons ago I had a button buck camped right in front of my blind, close as 5-6 feet, the whole season; just out of his spots when he first started coming in. At least you are seeing them.5 doe, 2 spikes, and a fawn before 8AM. All out of range 'cept the fawn @ 8' and a spike, which I let walk.

Quote: I moved here (Hardy Township, OH) around 2010, still al little new too me. You stay in contact with any of your PA relatives.
Quote: I have a crossbow, a .30/.30, a .243, & a muzzleloader. I'd rather use the muzzleloader above them all; the 1st shot better be a good one. I also have 2 shotguns, but the day I have to hunt deer with a shotgun is the day I quit hunting.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. They are all being civil to each other except at night, so it will hopefully go smoothly. Tank has been complaining bitterly (loudly) that his door won't open - he finally shut up. I'll figure out this chicken stuff eventually...Naked Neck and German New Hampshire

I know they could!! I'm just in a quandary yet again over the best way to kill em. A good friend of mine told me to not try the broomstick method, coz they had seen breaking the neck done and it never made a clean kill..... So back to square zero.
