I just pick up a little here in there of German/PA Dutch, common phrases I hear all the time.

One side of my family has been in PA since Germans first started settling there.

Some "hunters" will shoot anything that moves.

That kind of hunter is the very reason there are "no trespassing" signs up on my place.

Never saw one I could ID as him again; some idgit probably shot him...some "hunters" will shoot anything that moves.

I think that is sad. I try to be mindful of the population, besides I can't handle just killing. I am out if I go for meat. I also use single shot.

5 doe, 2 spikes, and a fawn before 8AM. All out of range 'cept the fawn @ 8' and a spike, which I let walk.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. They are all being civil to each other except at night, so it will hopefully go smoothly. I know they could!! I'm just in a quandary yet again over the best way to kill em. A good friend of mine told me to not try the broomstick method, coz they had seen breaking the neck done and it never made a clean kill..... So back to square zero.
