This happened to me in January. I think yours has a deeper wound than mine, but he was missing skin and down to meat on most of his rump. I had a sussex pullet come back from a coyote attack, and she had deep punctures and gurgled blood from her beak if I tipped her even a little. It took her a solid month to start walking.

well if he's been damaged... you'll have a hard time selling him. sounds like he's destined for a soup pot.
