Specifically, I'm thinking of the 800 mile trip my son's making tomorrow after driving a semi all night. He's wondering how to run a coffee pot in his pickup.I told him to get a DC/AC converter at an auto parts store. He's wondering about the safety of that configuration

more $$$$ than safety is the problem, we had an RV that was a headache from day one, A/C while "running" was a generator, remembering the generator problem, it was installed on top of the fuel hose, hence ran for three minutes, the mechanic would start it shut it, down and report it ran fine.

I'm talking about a deal that plugs into what used to be called the cigarette lighter socket before Political Correctness kidnapped our spoken language. I've had them with two AC plugs on them. I have a single in the truck right now; plug my phone charger into it.

*"We interrupt this program to bring you the two week firearms deer season.
Thank you for your patience" (I was a TV announcer in a former life, and old habits are hard to break).:P

* That's in addition to 4 weeks of muzzleloader season (two of which have already happened) and Archery season, which runs from September-January.

Regular programming will resume February 1st.

Ok probably not a good time to bring up the fact that a nice 6 point went through the back yard Saturday then. I got a picture of him but it was with iPad so not very good

He may be better off stopping occasionally to get a new cup. Getting out and walking around to get the blood flowing.

They make thermal coffee mugs that have a plug on them you plug into a cigarette lighter. That may be the best way to go.

My son has one.

Beautiful GSD
Yeah, he's a nice boy. Came fully trained, he ignores everyone for the most part. He's a smelling/tracking dog. So we keep him kennelled unless we are doing a specific project with him or spending time with him.

The only thing he's a little "overly" interested in, were the cats, but he respects the leave it command.

With that said, I wouldn't trust him alone with cats. LOL
