EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

A nice 8-point was walking around near my driveway earlier this evening...

Really handsome birds! Great job, Benny! :thumbsup
Hey, stranger!!! Good to see you! I was away for a bit as well, but didn't have your joyful (and exhausting) excuse...

She is so precious!!! I want one.... :love

Adorbs!!!!!!!

It's been a long day - not sure how long I'll last tonight... :th

- Ant Farm

Long day here as well. Fighting off a cold or flu. Calling it quits for tonight. :frow

@shahtir101 And here is our Hatter....
They are so cute!!!! Glad you got a chocolate chick from me! Those ones always seem to be the best quality and are super sweet! Deliah is a frizzle too! I almost lost her today! She got her leg stuck in my brinsea brooder heat thing and was hanging upside down! I got her out and luckily she was only just cold and was completely fine after she warmed up! I have been having bad luck lately! I hope it goes away soon! We saw a coyote on our property in the middle of daylight today and a mountain lion walked across a road very close to us!

Had this guy stop by for a chat this morning.

I think that all this talking, made it hungry, it seems that it gain weight, the LED kind of weight!

Need help? I have 2 different batches in the incubator. A week or so apart. I'm coming up on lock doe. And don't know what to do. Some eggs need to be locked down and more humidity and some need lower humidity and to be kept turned. Any suggestions?

I would increase the humidity to 65% until the first batch are done hatching, and hand turn the eggs due a week later. At that point turning for them will be at a less critical time.
When the first lot are done hatching check the aircells of the second lot and see if they need more or less humidity and adjust accordingly.

I hatch eggs a week apart all the time in the same bator and they do fine. Having them on different shelves in a cabinet does make it easier though.
