Last year was a close one, I almost couldn't get my box open, and he almost couldn't get in his. I used about 3 rolls of duct tape and 2 rolls of packing tape on his; along with custom made wrapping paper with memes about him having a giant head - as it's an ongoing joke that he can't find a hat big enough. I haven't decided what I'm doing this year to his gift. I need to start brainstorming!
My stupid hen is broody again! Her chicks are only 11 weeks old. This is the third time in the last 6 months! I am not getting her any eggs or chicks till Spring so I guess I better go get a cage.

So I was trying to test my digital thermo/hygrometer, we'll hygrometer is spot on but the thermo is impossible to test as it doesn't go high enough for boiling point.... also there is no way to calibrate it as I can't find a screw, nut nor a reset button!
Quote: You don't need to be able to adjust it - use the freezing point method with the ice bath, and if it is off, make a note of what the difference is between what it is and what it should be (maybe label it?). Then going forward, you just interpret the temperature based on that difference. So, if it is 2 degrees too high, then you'd know that if it reads a given number, the REAL temperature is actually 2 degrees lower than that. (Does that make any sense?)
