You take care of yourself. You have enough to contend with, without being sick on top of it. Still keeping you in thoughts & prayers.

I agree he will be fine, you have a wide enough roost bar he can cover his feet, you know I had read that it may be better in extreme colds to not offer roost bars! to make them stay on the thick shavings in the coop, my bars dont come out though.  You can look into frostbite prevention for combs and wattles, never use the alum feeders or whatever they are in the winter, it really does the roos in having them dangling on that stuff.

how do the nips not freeze?
I read the horizontal nipple does not freeze like the vertical ones. I have a heater in the one. We will see. For the cock I am going to use one of my waterers from the brooder for a while on a heat pad that came from an outdoor cat bed. I heat it in the morning and put it underneath it. It will stay till evening when I remove it till morning and repeat the process. It worked for me last year even in the single digits.

this failed, the goats somehow got the pvc pip out and devoured 5 gal bucket of chicken feed! Not sure WHAT to do now!!!! DANGGOATS!!!
Thus the cattle panel barricade at my place. Well, I got a deposit on the first of the kids tonight. I am supposed to have someone else coming, but I think they decided to wait.

@Sally Sunshinethat puppy picture is too cute. Boy people could make a fortune if they had ones that permanently looked like puppies or kittens.
