Not the orientation it's designed for but if all you want it for is to keep rain off there head than I don't see why not.

This semicircular sheet wiil collect all the rein water to the floor of the coop.
I would bend the edge or add 2 metal/plastic tunnel on the adge of the metal sheet to redirect the collected water away from the coop floor.
