That's a good synopsis.Well, with good ground they need 2.5-3 acres not to tear it up and need hay. You need to at least trim hooves every eight weeks or so which varies in cost. Stalls or loafing shed at least 8' st the short end and a minimum of 10x12. With vaccines, feed, and other care I would estimate around $100 per month. It can be a bit less if you have lots of pasture, and more if your farrier and hay costs are high. Hay around here for Bermuda is five or six a bale. Good hay is essential as they are not ruminants and cab easily get lung or digestive issues. Mold is deadly.

Haven't been around much.
Work: production is up from 20/ month to 45/ month same crew
Family: Dad is 100 years old today and family is arriving from everywhere
Chickens: its raining cats and dogs and keeping them dry in the remaining hours has me beat.
Oh and still have touch of the flu/cold since Thanksgiving.
