That is normal for day 21......AND NOT for day 20! So all the frustration was not necessarily yesterday!

Pipping this late would generally mean a day 22 hatch day, which is not what is aimed for.
Unless, of course, this one is another one of those insanely-fast-pip-to-hatch ones.
