Moved the duck house to the pond! Roof and doors up. Hoping to get them into their house on Monday.

Very nice! I would like to build something similar to put by my pond but the predator count is too high. turtles in the pond that usually take out half the newly hatched wild geese each year, coons, coyotes, fox, among others. I don't think they would fair very well without fort knox security.

We have all the same, but the duck house is close to the pool so I'm hoping high traffic will keep the predators down. We're also clearing quite a bit of brush in the area. I don't see many big turtles, only smallish terrapins. I'm mostly just hoping for the best.

Sorry to hear about the crappy night. Hope the kiddo gets better and stops stressing so much. At least she isn't getting in trouble for throwing stuff at other kids.

I slept like crap yet again, kiddo is sick and very stressed over the amount of work sent home for her and she had an audition for a play she never got to study and learn her lines, on and off being sick to her gut and crying about school.  Kids should NOT EVER get this stressed.  She thinks she has to be on top of things and trying to convince her that she needs to get better so she can even think is first and foremost, Good grief its ONLY SCHOOL!!!  She is home again. I swear its her nerves making her so sick.  wed she spent three and half hours doing work brought home and she wasnt feeling good to begin with, then they sent her home yesterday and she put in five hours of work, and with her math in sixth grade, heck I didnt learn that crap until almost graduating and I have no darn clue how the heck they teach these kids how to do math!!! If they want to switch this crap they need to keep all that stuff at school not expect old school parents to know what the bleep is going on!!! I swear its more difficult to learn than our thinking!!! its common sense old school, now I have no words!!!!!!!  well actually I do but some wouldnt appreciate them on here.    That and puppies and dogs wanting in and out and crying all night, yeah it pretty much sucked but thanks for asking, I feel better venting though. 

I despise the pressure kids are exerted to these days. I've went on rants previously about the public education system and this common core math stuff but will hold it in this time. Sorry and understand your frustration. venting typically helps. vent away.

Pool and traffic should help I suspect. I'm learning to deal with the turtles. First year we lived here I trapped and relocated about 20 within a week. A week later I was sitting on the deck and was able to count another 20 heads poking out of the water and realized it was a futile effort. Mainly pond turtles but they get big, a few snappers.

I am not good with this girl feelings and emotional stuff, I am so guilty for being ice queen with emotional crap I hear it nonstop from the husband and well lets just say others.

Raised that way and it aint gonna change now. I was never coddled and had a tough childhood mentally the way I was raised, I take on more anger at stuff than getting all crybabyish most times, I need a mentor to help me be a Girls mother, its times like this I feel I should NOT be a mother. And that's total honesty. I feel like I am failing with her big time, its been a battle between her dad and I for a few years now over her I can even begin to discuss that.
