I'm in agreement with @campingshaws it's not supposed to be this cold down South! We didn't even get any snow out of it, just ice. boo!

Though, for your weather, 2 hoodies should be fine...

I do the two layer method here - since I don't have a jacket for this kind of weather. First time we've had temps in freezing range since I moved to Texas.

I wore a sweatshirt, and then my parka jacket. (it doesn't really have much padding, it's more of a stylish jacket.) but it worked. My son was complaining about how cold he was in just his sweatshirt and I was fine. ^.^

Told him next time to wear layers if he doesn't want to be cold. haha

Not very long. And I'm already tired of it. Far too long to go.

Problem is if you saw the snow level is higher than the pass with these storms. This means all/most snow we have will be melted in this storm so to the 15 inches of rain over the pass add 6 inches of water for the snow melt. The areas we are talking about have had fires recently so mud slides etc are highly possible. If is the key word here.
