EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Oh, good point...
my RIR has laid me an egg pretty much year round - she takes maybe 1 day a week off.... and it's usually more like every 10 days she skips a day.
I only have 1 EE that's laying so far. ^.^ unless the other girls are hiding their eggs. haha

And my little cochin stopped laying like 5-6 months ago and even though she's no longer broody, she also hasn't laid a single egg.

10 Successful babies so far! 2 Over achievers started pipping on Lockdown on Sunday night, and were out within a couple of hours! Each day at least 1 to 2 chicks hatched! I took chicks out as they hatched and fluffed up. I then sprayed water in on the eggs for Humidity steadyness. I am still hopeful for the remaining 4 eggs, however I believe 1 of them is not viable due to the lack of movement and that I can't see any veins anymore. I thought it was the draw down. There are 2 others that were still moving around in there, but no internal pips yet as of last night. I will check again tonight, after work. Turkey eggs will stay in for a few more days, they had good movement last night, I have been turning them a couple time a day, since lockdown while taking out the chicks and spraying.
