Okay, Y'all, time for Unsolved Mysteries

Out of 6 pullets, all from the same hatch on 7/2/16, one & possibly two are laying, and have been for a month; the others never have. The only possible difference is that they're not all necessarily from the same hen. At first I thought they may be laying in secret nests when they're out & about, but they've all been confined to the coop/run/chicken yard since a hawk nailed one a week or so ago. Even before that, I kept them up for a day on two different occasions with no results.

I'm out of ideas.

It's not too unusual. I only have a couple girls laying so far from last year's hatches but as the days get longer I'm sure they'll pick it up. Just out of curiosity, how's their egg color?

Thanks you two! It's early days yet so I'm not getting too excited. Did order some cloth diapers, we're going to try both disposables and cloth and see which we prefer. I'm not holding my breath on the disposables making it past one package.

I never tried cloth diapers but I think I would've hated them. With the amount of laundry kids generate already, adding more, and messier wouldn't have appealed to me. But, that's just me.

Quote: yes but her labs were good, said she has either a bad virus or she is in the start of appendicitis no fevers today, but I am about to give up with her still crying her gut hurts and in bed either staring at wall or crying all day. when do you know if something is really wrong or not with kids, she was at er the did the labs so she is to go to school tomorrow. Imma send her crying in pain I guess???? I give up with kids. I just am at loss with her at this point.

what all can cause stomach pain like that?

I have no clue, any inflammation would show up on labs as well as infections. So that leaves me with what? she is going to be 12 next week so I was thinking maybe a girl thing starting to happen, but yeezus if she has this much issue she is gonna be in for it every month for a very long time lol.

I have ONE EE hen laying out of 6. The others haven't started yet, she's been my daily layer.

I would think if it was the start of appendicitis that they would do something about that. Sorry she's having a rough go of it

I agree- I can't handle cloth diapers. Especially when disposables are so much easier. I have 2 in diapers atm, and they are now both in the same size. They can share clothes, now, too. LOL

My son's working on potty training, but I know my daughter won't be far behind. She hates having wet diapers.
