EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

How is your wrist and health?
Not so great Dax... Everybody keeps telling me where I "should" be but not why I'm not there...

Having the same issues prior to surgery with pain, discoloration and swelling. I'm not blaming the surgery but I have a weird feeling something is going on that the don't want to address...
rant.gif

the 1st pic was a few hours after OT after I came home. The second one is actually at therapy. The harder they push me or the more I do, the worse it gets when it is actually supposed to be making it better.... Something isn't right.. Not blaming the Doc, OT lady or surgery, just wish they would listen to me. Hopefully when I show them these pics, I will get some answers.. Or at least have them look into it a little more....

I hope so too. Boy you and Sally can commiserate on a lack of answers.

Speaking of Mike, I might have to stop at the Adult Beverage store and get some "mikes" to help me through the tropical weekend...
Never fear. A week from now the cold returns.

The roman women started them. They foolishly thought clothing was "sexier".... You know how they think...
Sometimes it is. The imagination is often better than reality.

I got yelled at by the hubs for buying another cage yesterday

You can always use another cage.

Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission on this one!!! too good of a deal

Lima is less than 2 months away and the birds need spa days!!

I went this morning to check the traps and saw more feathers on the edge of the pond and a clump of ducks exactly in the middle of the pond. The traps were empty, but as I crossed the bridge a great big hawk flew away. Big enough to carry off a duck that size, or leisurely pick at a carcass all day.

It didn't look like the Cooper's hawk that I usually see, so I need to look up LA raptors again. I left the traps set and I got all six survivors locked in their house. The extra feathers were from my failed attempt to catch one last night and pulled her tail out.

Survivors' breakfast.
Get yourself a few of these.

Much more effective than a box trap. A smart hungry raccoon will completely ignore a baited trap.

Hi campin, not so good. HarmonyAnn was in ER per doc request, had extremely elevated WBC in urine, so they consulted Penn State Hershey specialists and they gave her IV antibiotics and a few hours of relieve with pain meds through iv. and sent her home with antibiotics. Back to doc monday. Today is her 12th bday and I feel terrible, she is miserable today but at least the school class called and sang to her and that made her smile. how bout yours> ??
Not completely related but with all the meds, has she been getting probiotics?
My son spent 2 months in the hospital after falling off a cliff. After he came home, he was nauseous for weeks, not keeping food down. I started feeding him yogurt. He quit throwing up.
When we went to see his primary physician, we told him about his nausea. I mentioned that I started him on yogurt because of how long he had been on a variety of meds. The doctor kind of ignored me. Then after the consultation, he turned to me and said, "Yogurt, I like it."

PHAGE!!!

THIS POST IS FOR YOU......... teeny baby serama hatched and happy and kicking, HOWEVER.........

NO EYES but it looks like one side the eye tried to develop at the beak?? I will cull it, when kids not around, its a serama and she is throwing a fit. ugggg I dont need a blind house serama!!!
While it can be heredity or lethal genes, missing eyes is usually from high incubator temperature days 1-6.

The Golden Eagle was give compared to the Bald Eagles in used to. Yesterday I was going on a ride and saw a couple Eagles... I took a pic to share... I couldn't get real close though sorry...
Very nice shot.

A warmer winter has fewer eagles on the Mississippi here this year.
These are from our eagle days a couple years ago.
