EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

The notes right below it suggest I need to include a 9-3 with the eggs, but the info I read on the NM site said eggs didn't need anything. So send it just to be safe?

I think the 9-3 is required by all interstate birds and eggs by the feds even if the state does not require it...II do mine electronically in those cases

Where did you get them..Wally World have them?
amazon.. where else??

Hello would you like to be my mentor?

No, but really. So I don't need the book of forms they sent me? It can be done online?

Anyone hooooooome? I'm due to ship eggs this week to a cold region. What do y'all use to keep the eggs warm? Do hot hands get too hot? What lasts longest? Obviously they don't need the warmth leaving from here...

You can't keep them warm! Unless you put some electrical heater!
Egg don't emits heat! So any insulation will keep the less heat energy AKA cold out! But it will not warm them!

I ordered some of the 72-hour heat packs so that will work, right? That will emit the heat and insulation will retain the heat?

Exactly! What temp they get to? They can start the the embrio development.

DUH,,,, I guess I need to get some, I did not know there were 72 hour ones.  I was probably in detention the day they were released to the public.

I just ordered from tsksupply linked in the notes. $20.85 for 10 and free shipping. They also had 96-hour ones.
