Looks like I'll have to turn manually. How many times a day should I "turn" them in the cartons?

Be real careful turning them. If the air sacs are detached or side saddle it can be tricky you do not want that cell moving into the embryo.

OE and Puppy eggs went into lock down today!!!!



I decided not to set any other eggs for a while - I just confirmed that I'll be getting 50 chicks all around the same time in mid/late February, and there's only so much brooder and growout space I can muster.

I sell eating eggs for 3 per dozen and hatching eggs for 2 per egg but I'm going up to 2.50 or 3.

I'm not sure it matters.

I too have decided the same. Tooooo many chickens. How'd the roof turn out?

That's great Penn!! I took some as a gift to my cousins (a really pretty mixed carton).  The whole family was taking pictures and I think we spent an hour talking about chickens. One of my better family parties 

I've got most of the office talking and keeping chickens.

Another guy is going to start when he moves into the property he's developing. This is going to be fun. A fresh start.
