No you don't. It is very hard to have separate pens for different breeds. I have multiple coops and have a mixed flock until things settle down here except for my seramas. You have a few nice ayam cemani fro CJ-build something small and functional for them. weed out (not hatch) your mixed breeds. make it manageable. stay focused and then after 6 months or so, rethink your decision after eresearching different breeds and settle on 1 or 2.

Remember the chick I thought I killed by helping it hatch.. It is still alive and doing OK,,, I have the hands of a surgeon, I have no idea why I doubted myself. That is my second error in the last 30 years...both times I thought I did wrong and I did not....

I am glad to hear that it survived!

OE and Puppy eggs went into lock down today!!!! I decided not to set any other eggs for a while - I just confirmed that I'll be getting 50 chicks all around the same time in mid/late February, and there's only so much brooder and growout space I can muster. :/ - Ant Farm Edit to add: Puppy's second set hatches next week.
