Sprinkle some grass seeds (you know the normal kind that grows in a yard) into the bottom of the stocking foot and fill it with potting mix. Twist the stocking until it is the shape and size of a tennis ball size, and then tie it off
put a cotton ball in for a nose to make them cute!!

Ohhhh! I thought it was a potato.
 
Well this is heartbreaking. I went to the store and when I got back the alarm on my incubator was going off. It didn't turn off when it hit the correct temp and by the time I got there the eggs were 185 degrees. It melted one of my analog thermometers. So I killed 84 chicks. I guess this is back to the drawing board.
