When you make your bator, put one of these in the circuit.

It will shut the bator down if it over heats for some reason

Guys, is this an internal pip???

was it in the high part of the inner membrane or the lower draw down part? cant tell right.... could be, but you can really see that rounded shape of a ducks bill in that egg for internal, and when they tuck for pipping the back top of that inner membrane pops up

video here and images

Sally, according to her article the 2nd pic is the before and thermostat was under egg shelf. Then it was moved into the smaller box.

Homemade Incubator with Heating Element/Wafer Thermostat - BackYard Chickens Community

The box at the back contains two computer 12V fans, one that brings air in the bottom of the box (not outside air, but from within the incubator) and another that blows it back out the metal grate, which has heating elements behind it to heat the air up again. The wafer thermostat is under the egg shelf right now, but DH is going to relocate it to inside the smaller box, with the controller sticking out the top for easy adjustment. The glass water pan is at the bottom, under the egg shelf, and fed by a tube running out the front of the box. I am still finding my ideal thermometer/hygrometer, the two identical digital ones I bought are off each other by 3 degrees, so DH is going to bring in his high-tech thermometer from work and see which one is accurate. It held constant temp several hours the other day, with a 40% humidity with just a small amount of water in the pan! I also have three heat sink jars filled with water, but when I turn the unit off to simulate losing electricity, it only keeps temp for about 20 minutes. Going to try stone heat sinks next.

It sure looks like it to me.

I wasn't expecting one yet, it's day 23, temps been no higher than 100, been lower but no higher.

It may not be. I think Sally quoted and gave answer right before this so I would listen to her she smart.
