EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I hear when you plant a duck 8-12 inches under ground a duck tree can grow. You can pick the eggs right off the branches. We should plant a few of these ducklings to test this theory.

What an excellent Idea! This idea might just move you up 4 places on the Toad egg list. It shows you have the stuff I am looking for in toad growers!

In all seriousness, I refuse to raise webbed critters. Geese scare the bleep out of me, and ducks are awful, messy, noisy, needy critters that don't give nearly enough to deal with all their literal poo.

You're acting so Icelandic,  just try it once and stop saying "No" to every good suggestion I have.

Chrissy is ashamed of you!!

To be entirely honest? That was my viewpoint on ducks two years ago. Then I switched the way I cared for them and raising ducks got SO much more enjoyable.... The enablers here didn't help either.

I nearly smacked you for this one... But I decided to be nice, since it's such a lovely warm day.... (Lookin' at you, Abi :P)

So, pot belly pigs (micro, or otherwise) can take up to 2 months to bond with thier owners. I've been reading up on it, because I thought I traumatized poor sara, trying to pick her up and she squealed like... well... a stuck pig.

This morning, she allowed me to pig her up with less freaking out and bellowing, but she made it clear when she was "done" being held. so I let her go back into the crate. I need to run to TSC, because the *hog* feed I bought, is inappropriate for a micro-pig - which is what she turned out to be, instead of a fullsized pot belly farm pig.  I have to go find the feed meant for micro-pot belly pigs, and our local store doesn't have the brand here, so I have to drive to a different location 2x as far away - they say online it's in stock.

The upside, is there's a starbucks up there, so I can get a much needed, and often not acquired, coffee.
At least in the future you can order it online to your local TSC and pick it up. I do that for items TSC carries, but my store doesn't have. Like when I first ordered pdz which they carry now.

Must resist enablers and duck pushers. Must resist. Resist
