Yes dear, we had gone through all these studies and info on the Diary thread, I am aware of this subject. I would have to pull it from the diary thread to get back into that stuff
Doh, of course I want them, BUTTT I have a bout 25 more chickens than I need, too many roos, and winter is arriving shortly.
That's just messed up.![]()
EAT THE ROOS!!!!!!!!!!
Roosters shouldn't be made pets.
Exactly. I butchered one on Sunday, we ate him last night and he tasted delicious. It is better Idea than giving them and then buy a chicken for supper!
You can never have to many chickens EVER!!!
My coop says otherwise.....
I should actually be dialing back the amount I have in general. If the coop roof collapses, it will be harder to find housing for 50 chickens than it would be for 15.
You need another coop!!
Problem solved

I named my birds to. On Sunday I processed Pickles and Biscuits. Pickles tasted great. Biscuits is a duck who needs a recipe. They were chicks when they got named & handled... I tried to stop handling them, but they still jump on my back, come running when called, etc.
