Morning everyone!
Day 19 for me. No pips yet so I topped off the water pot, gently positioned the eggs so the air cell was facing the outside of the canopy and shut things up until tomorrow when I'll probably have to top off again. The house humidity is only running 32% so if I don't keep that reservoir full, the humidity really drops in the incubator. I discovered that I'm able to shine my little LED CREE styled flashlight through the canopy and visualize the Air Cells on the eggs. I think I saw one internal pip but the real interesting thing was that while I was out letting the flock out into their run, DH reported that he had to pull our big Tom cat off the incubator as he was scratching at the canopy. We have 5 cats and yesterday I caught one of the females nosing around the incubator also. Till now none of them have showed any interest it, so I can only speculate that they are hearing something that we can't at this point in time.
I still think this is incredibly stressful, LOL.
