The labwork was completely useless, he had a swollen lymph node they aspirated and he had cancer. I KNEW it was cancer, I just needed confirmation. I'd just been hoping for the last week, he'd gain week and it was my imagination.

I have a "cancer radar" when it comes to animals, that I cannot explain.... but I've yet to be wrong with that spider sense goes off.

I just wish they'd listened to me and saved me 300 bucks of worthless testing and just done the cancer tests I asked them to do
They wanted to do Xrays, I insisted on ultrasounds. They ultrasounds found the swollen intestines and lymphnodes... they didn't want to aspirate it, forced me to do labs, and only consented to teh aspiration AFTER wasting extra money on the labs.

Once they did the aspiration, it showed cancer.

They could have saved me tons of money, had they done it in the other order. I'm kinda mad they wasted all my money. All his labs came back 100% normal too - we caught the cancer really early, but for barely being signs of it, he was already dealing with severe weight loss... he never would have made it home even with prednisone.

I'm so sorry. We know we are facing the same thing eventually with our Johnny Cash. Not cancer but from the diabetes.

Every day we say the same thing. Thank God. Not today.

Had it been diabetes, or thyroid, I would have treated it - although I had to LIE to the vet and tell them I had NO intention of treating it, to get them to do the testing I needed, to rule out cancer. They were trying to drain me of money, before doing the tests I actually wanted.

I know it's how they do ****, but they could have cut my 700 bill, down to like 350, but not doing all the extra unneeded labs/draws/tests and just done the test I wanted from the beginning.
