I know I can't use my post office. I knew it before, and I can't do anything about the last delivery. I know it won't happen again. If I absolutely must, I will have them delivered to a different PO.

Was it eggs that you lost? What happened?
I guess there are some bad POs. Have you talked to your postmaster about it?

Good morning friends. Ebony had twins last night at 9:30. I am glad they are healthy and cute, but I as sad I didn't get a doeling. Ebony is six this year, and I really needed a daughter for her genetics.

I like cutting plastic with an angle grinder or a pneumatic die grinder. Some soft plastics load up the wheel, but they can be cleaned out and are super cheap anyway.

That or the toothless blade on the jigsaw.

Hi Dax! Congratulations on the kids. At 6 you should be able to get at least a couple more tries for the doeling, or are big goats different? Still seeing plug coming out from one of one due tomorrow.

Congratulations on the two bucklings, @daxigait I've never seen a baby goat that wasn't just adorable.



I woke up to 5 more chicks this morning. 2 of the remaining are starting to zip and the last one has pipped.

I'll post a group pic once everyone is in the brooder and dried out.

Things I have learned about the Brinsea that I will file away for my next hatching.

I can get 11 eggs in it if they are medium sized to smallish but next time I won't put any more than 10 and possibly even less. Once chicks start to pop the limited space fills up with squealing babies really fast and because of the limited space they start rolling the eggs all around.

The machine holds the temp and humidity perfectly and recovers fast when you have to pull chicks due to overcrowding.But keeping the water pot full during lock down is an exercise in futility due to it's location. I've got to figure out a way to fill the pot without having to remove the canopy

Other than those two things, I totally love my little Brinsea Eco.

Is your house low humidity? I fill my Brinsea at lockdown and it usually lasts until hatch is complete.

That's nothing compared to the giant spider I saw on one of my upper living room windows one day - STARING down at me. I thought it was inside for a minute, and while I like spiders, I still sorta freaked out. Someone told me it was a banana spider (or something like that) - I had a small grove of banana trees at the time. Um, they're kinda like tarantulas... um... except they're sort kinda bigger... (At least this one was.) Like, the size of my face.

I'm with Banty on this one. I'm so glad that the biggest thing we have around here is the wolf spider. That's enough to freak me out when I find one!

I think Pepper may be on her game again @daxigait they were but for some reason sleep evaded me until two am drove me insane my head did lol I only would like some turkey, you make your money off the lavs, I will see what he has been getting. They can wrap eggs for me. winks let me know when you have some to pop in the mail I can set those anytime. @Auroradream26 you will have to remind me, what all you would like from here.

Whatever you want to send me but definitely a couple of your crele orpintings. Please don't feel rushed. You can send me eggs whenever you feel better If you send me you're address, I could probably get them out to you today. Or I could wait till Monday if you'd prefer them sent earlier in the week.
