Quote: well this batch does, the cuckoo and the two I have didnt seem that bad. These omg they are horrid
Sure they are blacks, and not blue? Or are they dry already. Is it the new line you got from the breeder?
they are black yes the show quality flock, huge they are already but OMG grossness.....

yikes oh nos!
I see..... how long do you think I shuold keep them locked up in the goat pen? she said they went into their little pen everynight, but I am afraid they dont know what home is here yet. I hope the goat pen works good enough for them at night and they keep out of the dogs yard. very friendly boogers, spoiled and follow me around already.

Personally, I would not keep them with the goats if the goats are ever in contact with your other birds.

I think 3 weeks to 30 days is required. I do a month on everything after a show. Sometimes they go from show to show and never leave quarantine.

Hey everyone, I asked @Yemimah

to ask for help here. :D

Yemima? It is an Israeli name!

An invasion?

How 8,000,000 population can invade to 330,000,000?

One at a time

One at a time is barley a dripping it isn't an INVASION for sure!

Tell that to the American Indians of the 1800's; see what kind of reply you get.

In that I agree with you BUT the Indians didn't know how many "pale faced" there are, but you know how In MAXIMUM we are, no more than 8,000,000.

hmmmm interesting

oh they are very nice
Oh that's good.

And for what it's worth, I took my turkey's to a show, for 4h, and didn't bother to quarantine them when I brought them home. Same with the Silkie we took. ^.^

But, goats are good. Honestly, the odds of them making your other birds sick if they came from a healthy place, with limited outside contact, I wouldn't stress that much. Your birds are just as likely to get pox and other illnesses from wild birds. Infact, pox DID go through my entire flock because of wild birds. almost lost one of my turkey's, when she was sick with it. They are doing fine now though, but all my birds have been exposed to it. :( LOL

Not to say you can't get them sick - or they won't be sick, but in general, healthy birds, are healthy birds.

Quote: why my poor goats?

you had yours in with your goats!!!!
They were separated by fence, they just had space in the barn. Big turkey poop from the sky. Mine did't roost or fly.
these dont do anything so far but eat the crack I threw in the hay. goats went right up to them and neither flinched
