Quote: Sorry - didn't mean to rub it in. These are my first apple trees, so I'm excited.
As tired as I was, I woke up at about 4:15am with a lot of hand pain - just the usual consequence of operating the orbital sander for long periods, can't be helped. But I have learned from experience that I need to get up and get the hand/arm vertical and moving around to get it to recede. Then when it did about 15 minutes later, I got back in bed, but Opal came to visit me in the bed to be little miss cuddlebuns (it seems that early morning is "their time"). Loved it, but wasn't getting sleep, and I was really awake anyhow, so I just decided to get up and do some laundry, etc. Nice to not rush for once in the morning - eating some scrambled eggs with goat cheese on toast (homemade goat cheese, homemade bread/toast, and yeah, the eggs - I still think that's so cool!).
Having my second cup of coffee (don't tell my doctor!). I am now completely convinced that goat milk tastes better than cows milk in coffee.

I hope your hand is doing better today.

She hatched! I looked in and she had just pushed out. But there is some blood on her head and on the shell, and the blood vessels don't look as dryed up as the other ducklings shells. Is she ok?
DOn't know, time will tell.
