Yep. So nice to have a green ranch for a change. It hasn't slowed our construction down at Hubbell's. It has slowed me down with my ranch work though because it was consistently raining on weekends for awhile.
How are you doing up there?

The rains have definitely slowed us down. State has our hands tied as to when you can build when it's raining. Basically if it's muddy you can't work. Shortened version.
Everything is green here as well. Trying to get it under control but like you it's raining quite a bit on the weekends.

Always have eggs cooking. I'm hopeless. It's all good if they're for other people though. I just hatched a bunch of Guineas for someone, now I'm doing Sebrights for someone else. Of course, I can't stop with the Seramas. They're highly addictive. I ALWAYS hatch chicks with absolutely nowhere to put them....

This is my new(est) cockerel. I picked him and a pair of pullets directly out of Matt Ulrich's pens. As the description says on YouTube... what he lacks in vocal skills, he makes up for in class.

So lovely! I'd love to have something like that in my house when I renovate...

I'm SO tired. Just finished lumber work (more sanding and sealing of 2x4s, this time for the new big Eggplant coop), and put on a load of laundry (you know, the clothes I was wearing when I was slip sliding in poop and catching chicks on the tile floor?!). And after I started the load I realized, no bath/shower until washer is done.

So I'm sitting here feeling grody and waiting for the laundry to finish, and FINALLY eating dinner.

BTW, my big deep-bodied German New Hampshire boys crow like that - it's an entirely different low register, and always so interesting to hear them within the morning chorus. They took a while to start crowing, but the morning one finally did, I knew exactly who it had to be.
