not funny

No. It didn't occur to me. I wasn't hatching a lot them except with broodies (she hatched from a broody hen) and I was eliminating all the birds that weren't penedesencas.

I love black flowers, fruits and foliage.
I once had a border of black mondo grass (there are a few varieties with various shades of black) around my patio surrounded by all white flowers. Then I put white rope lights under the mondo grass to highlight the white flowers for nighttime parties.

I think I'm the stupid one for wasting my time - over and over.
nope, there was a ton of great information in there

nothing???

So far, I've gotten nothing but boys. ^.^
is he doing better?

It got up to 83 today. Would have been great weather to work on my top bar hive and swarm box today, but no, I thought it was going to rain.

I'm months behind on this project for one reason or another and I have the feeling I'll be putting the hive away until next year at this rate. I want bees already!

In other news, I did a quick candle and it looks like my shipped eggs aren't a bust this time! I've only ever had luck hatching shipped quail eggs, but it looks like I managed to do everything right this time. Plus, the air cells weren't in too bad a shape when the eggs arrived/ didn't get stuck in a mail truck till they were delivered. One of them may be clear, but it's way too soon to tell.

ETA: I completely forgot about the HRIR I hatched several years back.

her bubbly personality?

For anyone that has expirience with the Brinsea Octagon 40 Advance Incubator with Auto Turn Cradle:

What do you guys think of it? Does it work well? Does it heat the eggs evenly even though it is so long? Is it worth the price?

Thanks!
the cradles break easily

Can someone show me the baby bird food again

Day 18 for my first batch of HRIR eggs. All 8 candled well and went into lockdown. Hoping all of them make it out of their shells okay.

good luck!!!

So the word on the street is Marans like to be incubated at 98.5 and not 99.5 like I did. Your thoughts?
weird

I have 36 eggs in the incubator for the EHAL. I just candled all my eggs, but only one of them looks like it is forming. Has anyone seen this before? What do I do? The one egg that is developing is being hand turned if I remember to do it, because it doesn't fit in the automatic turner. Any advice? The last eggs I got from this same lady, 8/12 were fertile, but all died(most likely my fault).
what day? arent you only d3?

They are white runners. I've also got khaki and Aylesbury but they are ready for a while yet!
fun!!

not funny
yes it was, sorry

im fine, my quail decided to jump into the top of my cage and reopened one of its booboos

idiot

i dont have any blukote, so i was thinking about just using food dye, think itll work?
Blukote is s'posed to keep the area cleaner, but just for an anti-pick spray food colouring might work.
