Options are good. Based on the work ethic you've discussed here I'm sure any employer would be grateful to have you and any prior employer would miss you dearly. Would the 4 days be set or a revolving schedule? Nights are extremely hard for some to adjust but thats what I worked for about the first 14-15 years of my military career. It was harder for me to adjust to a dayshift schedule.
It is set Thursday to Sunday.

:lau   sounds like you might be getting a few more birds

Well, it was polite on both sides. After prayer I went into that meeting having already decided that whatever they did or didn't do I was going to look at my options career-wise. Riley said that he understood and agreed with my point. He would look into whether they could do anything. I am tried to assure me that they do value their employees blah blah blah. I submitted my first application after that meeting and three hours later had a job offer for three and a half dollars more per hour to start with a 50 cent raise after 90 days. Unfortunately, that one is a night position that I really don't want. I could consider it because you can move internally when there is an opening but I am not sure. I do like the fact that it is for 12 hour shifts with three days off. While it is not what I want, it was reassuring.

:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

How am I doing? :p

very well

The conference I attended last week was actually at the USPS upper management training and team building facility in Norman, OK.

neat! did you get to tell them your thoughts?

Not in the context of a conference, we just used the facility for our conference. I engaged conversation with a few of them over the resident ducks and it transpired into the conversation of shipping eggs and chicks but nothing significant. Most people dont realize the fact that actual hand time on shipped boxes is very minimal. Practically the whole process is mechanized with conveyors and sorting machines.

GOOD MORNING, COFFEE CREW! IT'S DAY FOUR OF THE HOSTAGE SITUATION, AND THE NATIVES ARE GETTING RESTLESS!!

Yummy! Thank you, beautiful! And yes, day 4 of the hostage situation, I am very restless.

I think I am missing someone in the morning greetings. My assistant manager and my complaint expert (which is actually both of them, but that is another story) have not caught it. Anyone know whom I am missing?

I have failed you, Kwafee Queen.

IDK, I think K... Nope. Ummmmmm! Hea.... Nope, Nope. She was dissing you last night too. Hmmm. Okay. There are no innocents.
I can only see you when I do the thing that I do when you do and then I do.

Wait, what??

She dissed you good!

The USPS is usually pretty darn good. People only tell the horror stories. They don't rave about the times things went well. The latter is the vast majority of shipments.

My local USPS is GREAT about calling me when I have eggs or live chicks at the post office. This past summer when I had eggs there, they called me at 4:30 in the morning, saying, "You have eggs here and it says on the box to call you immediately when they arrive. Please come get them, knock on the back door and we will let you in to get them." Great experience. Now, their abilities when it comes to regular packages leave much to be desired.

*squee* so cute!

How wonderful to already have an offer and know that you have options.

Set schedule could work better than revolving but I suspect that would be an adjustment to work the weekend. Continue to pray on it and it will work out. :hugs

Phooey. I'm guessing one of the parents is crested?

At least one.
