For those asking questions about criteria for selecting which birds to keep for breeding and which to cull, there is much more information than what I previously offered in the following page from ALBC.
It's about maintaining heritage fowl in the manner for which they were originally developed.

I like the rule of 10 section. To get one good bird, you have to produce 10. To get one great individual, you have to produce 100. To get one exceptional bird, you have to produce 1,000.

Runt, we'd need magic to tell if the dog has cancer or not. Did your vet, which I am assuming your dog has been to recently due to incision line, say anything on the topic?
 
My runner egg has externally pipped but when it moves and I can see inside it looks like it's pipped the membrane a few times

looks like it had surgery, I would ask the vet that did it
