Funny -this reminds me - One of my first and fav chickens who laid amazing speckled olive eggs. She went to live with my friend about 7 years ago as her hubby wanted an olive Egger. Then my friend moved and the chickens went to her neighbor. But the chickens were now old and so I recently gave them some more Pullets. A week before the new girls arrived my fav hen started laying again DAILY!!
Maybe she thought she was going to be replaced!! (Actually she is a pet hen so would never be replaced).

Anywho this chicken is amazing at about 8 years old

The speckled green eggs are hers from last week.

I just sold 3 dozen eggs for 4 dollars, 2 per 18 - he brought his own containers, so I charged 2 dollars per 18.

I also sold 2 of my boys for 50 dollars. I just wanted to get rid of the pygmies, and apparently, selling the boys cheap is the way to go. LOL

I've been getting 12 out of 13 with a rare 13th polish white egg. Way more than we need. Been making tons of different kinds of pickled eggs, think around 12qts now. Just made a few dz dyed Easter eggs with the kids, the brown eggs dyed just fine.

Hi! Best method for fixing crooked toes in a brand new hatchling? The one I had to assist has crooked toes. One foot has straightened out a lot, but I the other foot is still crooked.

I would give it 24 hrs before taping it up as they often straighten out on their own.
If they don't you can use tape like painters tape to straighten out the toes.
Should only take a day to fix if they don't straighten out themselves.

After about 3/4days it is harder to start to intervene and get good results.
