You are very welcome. Fair warning - the first time you have to cut one off, it'll freak you out because it's awkward when you're first learning, and you're afraid you'll hurt their leg (esp/ when they're little). Be sure you use a wire cutter - scissors aren't strong enough. Flat side toward the "nub" of the zip tie, and just get a good grip and go slow. I've taken off higher ones before, but it's always easier to take them off when they're still a bit loose, which is even more reason to not let them get too tight.

Good morning, MC!!! Thanks! :hugs  Have a fantastic day!!!

Morning getting ready for second cup of decaf then out to see if broody has more chicks. Of course chores.

Good Morning! I have a question.....and I'm probably overreacting a little bit but..
One of my girls' comb is growing a little bit faster than everyone else's. but it's not getting red at all, still that yellow-ish bland color. Am I over reacting? She has also been bigger/chunkier than my smaller BO since i got her. pictures in a sec

Aldi's had eggs .59cents a dz last yr. I put 4dz in the cart (for pickled eggs) DW threw a fit "we're not spending $40 a month on feed to buy eggs!!!"
But they weren't laying... and I used to think fresh eggs were about impossible to peel good.

Tried all the suggestions, nothing seemed to work for me. Boil 2dz old eggs of ours just to get a dz presentable one's for pickling.
Then my brother said to slice up a lemon and put it in the water. Don't know why it works, can't be just the acid cause I've added vinegar before and didn't help much.
Add a sliced lemon and the shells slip right off even on that day laid eggs.
i cant wait to try a pickled egg
and pickling them
i will have to try that lemon thing

This one is a favourite of theirs...
great song

You might be more familiar with his brother Harry Chapin. "Cat's In The Cradle" "Taxi"

I only have twenty five hens. Four cocks which is too many. This guy is for sale.
i have 1 hen, and 5 laying/pol pullets (though 1 isnt laying cause she broke herself of being broody for 1.5 days), 4 pullets that are too young, 1 rooster, 1 cockerel, and 1 i am unsure of gender still

Uhhhh....that would be a NO
im kinda surprised

3rd great grandbaby joined the world this evening; 1st boy.
Congrats whites!!

I have a Ricky Skaggs tape somewhere, love the beginning, someone says in a low voice "country rocks bluegrass rules!"
I like the old folk though, those kids songs, many old folk songs were like that. Look up Grant Rogers Bessie the heifer, you tube has it.
My grandad played music with him, went to the Grand ole opry with him when my mother was a kid.
They both played with Pete Seeger also. Not my favorite cup of tea as far as politicking goes but still pretty cool none the less.
Mine also now... Chapin's is a lot better than the one I grew up with, ugly kid Joe version, super popular in the early 90's.
I'd like to know how Chapin got Tommy Chong to play on that vid though

, dude behind him looks just like Chong.
Super sad song hearing it now, don't think we ever really knew what it was about when we listened to it young.
Reminds me of my bringing up, hope I'm there more for my kids more than my dad was, who was there more for us than his dad was. Hug them a little tighter tomorrow.
yep, when you actually listen to it

12 eggs in 1 $??

You know, while all the congratulations are very much appreciated, it's funny how everyone always congratulates the grandparents & great grandparents, neither of which have anything to do with anything beyond bringing the parents parents into the world
