I love our yard.................lol

Quote: Nope, no way. But you could move here...

So I went to move the chicks from the broody this afternoon. Was quite an encounter with a not happy hen. Four of the chicks disappeared through the cyclone fencing which I didn't see at the time as I was wrestling a very mad hen and trying to catch chicks at the same time. Managed to catch one the rest I thought went under the feed box. Well two did the others went out of the coop. Which is the reason I was moving them in the first place. It's not a chick tight coop and well critters like chickens especially chicks around here. The other reason to move them, it's the driest area of the coop and the rest of hens need back in. It's RAINING again!!!!!
Here's one of the chicks that came out of hiding when hen called to it. In order for this day old chick to get to this spot it had to climb a 3&1/2 foot vertical wall. Fortunately they all came back to mom when she called them.

OMG, that would totally freak me out...

Finally got my hands on a frizzle! Looks like a roo.

In all seriousness, I was looking at property, and had my eye on some good ones, but in the end I acknowledged that it was an awful lot of work keeping up with my 1.6 acres. I think I'll just stay here.

(I need to roast those decaf green coffee beans... When I have a spare few seconds, which will be, um... like never, apparently...)

I actually DID just go buy a belt sander - a Hitachi that's rated well. Will be trying it out this evening as soon as I finish the chicken chores. But I had to get my taxes done first. Didn't take very long - I thought I've owe money which is why I put off doing it this year, but my high property taxes and charity donations mean I'm getting a big return - and should have done this in FEBRUARY!!!!

But at least it's done.

I'm so tired, have so much to do. Whine whine whine...

She apparently had a ton of fun.

She is so lucky to have you in her life. I am reminded of a story my family tells that when I was tiny, I was sitting with my aunt Nancy, and looking at her VERY intently, and talking my head off. She looked very serious and would nod her head at all the right spots. When my parents came up, they realized I was not speaking anything close to English, but bless her heart, my aunt made sure I knew that what I was saying was very important.

I actually have tinnitus and menieres disease (no joke). My prescription is for low dose PRN clonazepam, and daily spironolactone. Oh, and that whole cut down on caffeine thing...

I told Jace to say hi. She said "Go away or DIE" but that's close enough, eh?

Why not?? It's so much nicer here... Never gets above 90°....

You only have 1.6 and yet manage to have so much to do?? Incredible.

Yeah, missy, you of all people should know to listen to the doc about caffeine. :old

But I like being outside. Inside gets terrible boring. You can't AC the outdoors, eh? Plus, you have mutant spiders. I don't.
