We are getting a new horse - We got offered a retired barrel racer who was being boarded and they stopped paying for him to be boarded and never picked him up, so after a couple years of him living there, they decided to just give him away and they offered him to us.

He's a sweetie.

I hope you enjoy him. Now for the expensive part. I know you know, but it made me think of all those people who want a free horse because they can't afford it. Shoot buying the horse is probably the cheapest part unless you're buying a really fancy roping or show horse.

Eat, sell or sell the meat. We'll probably try to sell the brokens as pets or breeders and eat or sell the meat of the solids.

Tell me about it - I bought a elderly horse for 800 dollars, only to pay like 1000 in vet care, and disposal because she lived like a year, and then died of cancer. ^.^

They sold us a sick horse. So I refuse to buy horses anymore. There's enough cheap/nearly free horses around who are in much better shape that people just want a decent home for.

I'll get some pictures this weekend when we walk him home. He's just down the street. He's a little on the thin side, and he's lonely. I think he'll fatten right up after I deworm him and get his feet in better shape.

I wish I could get some to eat. I like rabbit, not as much as duck, but I like it.
